Art in mirror

    I was reblogging this paiting in the previous posting, and couldn’t add more pictures, so this additional posting with the detail showing the mirror (I also indicated another interesting element, a depiction of the unicorn. 
    The {hi}story of behind this portrait and all its meanings, allusions and symbolisms are still largely unknown. There are, by the way, a few different versions and look-alikes of this work - I once tried to unpack this story (see Mirrors on the whimsical stands) but still have more questions than answers.
